A Featured Exhibit by Marjorie Dodrill

Marjorie Dodrill is an accomplished artist working in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, known for her vibrant landscapes, dramatic seascapes, and exquisitely detailed floral paintings. Based in The Villages, Florida, she has spent more than two decades developing a distinctive artistic voice that celebrates the beauty, color, and serenity of the natural world.

A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Marjorie's artistic journey was enriched by the opportunity to live throughout the United States and England during her husband's 20-year career in the United States Air Force. While residing in England, she frequently visited many of Europe's renowned museums and galleries, experiences that profoundly influenced her appreciation for fine art and inspired her pursuit of painting. Additional years spent in the Washington, D.C. area provided exposure to some of America's most prestigious museums and cultural institutions, further shaping her artistic vision.

Primarily self-taught, Marjorie dedicated years to studying master artists, attending workshops, and refining her technical skills. Her commitment to excellence has resulted in a successful professional career spanning more than 26 years, during which her artwork has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States.

Marjorie has been honored with four solo exhibitions, including presentations at the California State Capitol, the Leesburg Center for the Arts, CITYARTS in Orlando, and the Ocala International Airport, where her work is currently featured in a six-month exhibition. Continuing this impressive trajectory, Marjorie has been selected for a featured solo debut exhibition at Arts at The Canopy in December 2026, showcasing a body of work that reflects her ongoing creative growth and passion for artistic expression.

Through her paintings, Marjorie seeks to capture not only the visual beauty of her subjects but also the sense of wonder, peace, and connection they inspire. Her work resonates with collectors and art enthusiasts alike, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and experience the enduring beauty found in nature.
