Meet our very talented family of Artists…

Headshot of a middle-aged man with short brown hair, blue eyes, and a beard, smiling and wearing a black collared shirt with a necklace, against a gray background.

“Copper is honest,” Moore says. “It responds to pressure, patience, and intention. You don’t rush it—you listen to it.”

Founder & Resident Artist - Jeffrey A. Moore

At the center of The Canopy is its founder, Jeffrey Moore—an artist whose award-winning copperwork has found its way into the homes of collectors across the country. This is not simply a place where his work is displayed. It is where it lives.

As owner and founder, Moore brings not only vision to The Canopy, but a signature medium that carries both distinction and depth. His copper pieces—known for their rich tones, hand-fired finishes, and sculptural presence—offer a tactile, luminous quality that sets them apart. They don’t just catch the eye; they hold it.

For visitors, this is a rare opportunity. The Canopy is the only place in the area where this level of copper artistry can be experienced up close—where the nuance of the material, the layering of process, and the story behind each piece can be fully appreciated. And because this is where it’s created, not just shown, there is something even more meaningful woven into the experience: connection. The chance to see the work in its natural environment, to understand its evolution, and to engage directly with the artist behind it. It's not just on display—it's part of the identity of The Canopy itself.

Moore’s work is created using traditional repoussé and chasing techniques—an ancient metalworking process where imagery is pushed and refined from the surface of copper through hours of deliberate handwork. The result is art that feels both sculptural and painterly, where light dances across raised forms, patinas bloom organically, and each mark carries the memory of touch and time.

Drawing inspiration from nature, symbolism, and quiet moments often overlooked, Moore’s copper pieces explore themes of transformation, balance, and stillness. Florals, organic elements, and narrative forms emerge from richly textured surfaces, offering viewers a layered experience that changes with distance, lighting, and perspective.

A published artist and writer, Jeffrey’s insights and creative philosophy have appeared in multiple articles that spotlight his evolving journey and the narrative behind his work. Beyond his personal practice, he devotes his time to nurturing the next generation of makers, serving as an instructor for youth art programs where he champions curiosity, courage, and creative play.

Arts at the Canopy offers the opportunity to schedule a private, one-on-one showing with resident artist Jeffrey A. Moore—an experience designed for those who want to connect more deeply with the art, the process, and the story behind each piece.

In-house Artists

Sharon Vickery

Morgan Raines paints the world as if it were etched into memory itself—layered, textured, and full of emotion. Using a labor-intensive adaptation of the Renaissance-era sgraffito technique, he builds each piece through 20 to 30 layers of acrylic before carving back into the surface to reveal the color beneath. The result is a striking, sculpted finish that gives every subject a powerful, almost tactile presence.

From bold, geometric florals to soulful animal portraits and luminous coastal scenes, Raines’ work captures both beauty and story. His rich palette—filled with warm ochres, russets, and sunlit golds, accented by vibrant blues—brings each piece to life with striking depth and contrast.

What makes his work truly unforgettable is its sense of discovery. Each painting feels unearthed rather than created—revealing hidden layers, quiet emotion, and the extraordinary within the everyday.

We are absolutely thrilled to have Lisa Eikenberry as part of the talented lineup at Arts at The Canopy! Her work brings a distinctive energy and emotional depth that beautifully complements the creative spirit of our space. Driven by what she calls “I Art or I Go Crazy!”, Lisa’s passion for creating is both powerful and deeply personal—it’s not just what she does, it’s who she is.

Lisa’s artistic journey has taken many forms. As a professional portrait photographer, she developed a gift for capturing authentic emotion, specializing in children, birth, and black-and-white photography. Her storytelling extends beyond the lens through her work featuring local people and culture, adding richness and humanity to everything she creates.

A true mixed-media artist, Lisa works across wire, acrylic, graphite, and layered materials to bring her ideas to life. A recurring symbol in her work is the Tree of Life, which holds deep personal meaning—representing growth, resilience, and connection.

FiReD! Pottery

Hi, I’m Sharon Vickery, the artist behind FiReD! pottery and a proud artist here at Arts at The Canopy. Working from my home studio, I create hand-built stoneware pieces shaped from carefully refined clay and guided by its natural movement. Each design is individually formed and glazed, resulting in functional artwork that is both enduring and distinctive.

I discovered hand-built pottery over a decade ago and have felt a lasting connection to the craft ever since. My work is often described as simple, understated, elegant, and timeless. Over the years, I’ve participated in numerous art fairs and community events and continue to create both exhibited and commissioned pieces.
