Pen and Ink with Watercolor Wash Workshop

$45.00

September 12th | Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Limited to 10 students
All supplies included.
Instructor: Artist Jeffrey Moore

Discover the expressive beauty of combining crisp ink lines with luminous watercolor washes in this hands-on workshop. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike, this class explores the timeless technique of using pen and ink to create structure and detail, then enhancing your work with soft, transparent layers of watercolor.

Participants will learn essential skills such as line control, hatching and cross-hatching, composition, and how to build depth and texture through ink. You’ll then explore how to apply watercolor washes to add atmosphere, color harmony, and mood without overwhelming the delicate linework.

Through guided demonstrations and personalized instruction, you’ll complete several small studies and at least one finished piece. Subjects may include landscapes, urban scenes, botanicals, or simple still life compositions.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll gain confidence in mixing media, understand how to balance line and color, and leave with artwork ready to display—as well as techniques you can continue to develop at home.
